HISTORICAL FACT

SIROCCO FAN Nameplate Illustration

The American Blower Company’s Sirocco fan was used to divert heat from the furnace at Island Station and utilize it for the coal drying process. The Sirocco blower was introduced in 1909 and quickly became one of American Blower Company’s best known products due to its smaller size and quieter operation compared with the typical paddle wheel blowers popular at that time.
